Mark Quarterman, M.D.

Dr. Mark Johnson Quarterman earned his AS degree from Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College and his BS in Biology from Armstrong State College. He attended The Medical College of Georgia where he earned his M.D. degree. After earning his degree, he completed an internship in Internal Medicine at the Georgia Baptist Medical Center in Atlanta, Georgia. Dr. Quarterman's desire to pursue a career in dermatology lead him to a dermatology residency at The Medical College of Georgia. It was there, he was named the Chief Resident. He is board certified by the American Board of Dermatology. After finishing his Dermatology training, he completed a Dermatopathology fellowship at The Ohio State University. He is also board certified in dermatopathology by the American Board of Pathology. These two certifications allow Dr. Quarterman to review the clinical and pathological aspects of dermatology for his patients. He is able to interpret the pathology, first hand, in order to give the patient the highest quality of care. He also has a certification for Mohs Micrographic Surgery by the American Society for Mohs Micrographic Surgery and has performed many Mohs surgeries in the past twenty years. He was presented with the Annual Trainee Award for 1997 by the Archives of Dermatology (Arch Dermatol/Vol 134, Mar 1998, pg.343). This award is bestowed to the dermatology resident or fellow who was the first author for the most meritorious original research article published in the Archives of Dermatology of a given year. This is an international award. Dr. Quarterman has presented many cases at professional meetings and conferences, participated in numerous research projects, and has written multiple journal and abstract articles. He has been in private practice in Anderson, South Carolina since 1996. He and his wife, Tricia have three children, Laura, Christina and Mark, Jr.
Luke H. O'Steen, M.D.

Dr. Luke O’Steen was born in Greenville, South Carolina. He attended the Honors College at the College of Charleston where he graduated summa cum laude with degrees in Biology and Chemistry. He then attended the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) where he earned his MD. For his internship, Dr O’Steen trained in Internal Medicine at Tulane Medical Center in New Orleans. He then traveled across the country to Los Angeles, CA to complete his Dermatology residency at Kaiser Permanente, where he served as Chief Resident. Dr O’Steen is interested in combining his skills in medical dermatology, dermatologic surgery, and dermatopathology to provide his patients with comprehensive skin care. He is the oldest of five boys. In his free time, he enjoys playing tennis, travelling, fantasy football, and spending time with his wife Lea and his younger brothers.
VICKIE STONE, NP
Nurse Practitioner in Anderson and Seneca, SC
Vickie Stone began her career with Anderson Skin and Cancer Clinic in 1970, after receiving her Medical Laboratory Technician degree from Greenville Technical College. While working at Anderson Skin and Cancer Clinic, she went back to school to pursue a nursing degree. She earned an Associate Degree in Nursing from Greenville Technical College, a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from Clemson University, and a Master of Science Advanced Practice Nursing: Family Nurse Practitioner from Clemson University. She was awarded the Academic award from Greenville Technical College. She was awarded the Dermatology Nurse Research Award from the Dermatology Nurses' Association. She also received the Master's Excellence Award from Clemson University. She has taken the Dermatology Nursing Certification Board and now is a Dermatology Certified Nurse Practitioner. She is a member of Sigma Theta tau, Honor Society of Nursing. She serves as a preceptor to graduate students from Clemson University. She has attended many dermatology workshops and conferences. She presently sees patients in our Anderson and Seneca offices. Vickie, a native of Belton, has two sons, Jeremy and Brandon, two daughter in-laws, Elizabeth Heller Stone and Ashby Welborn Stone, and has three grandchildren, Patrick, Edie Kate and Cailyn. She was married to Eddie Stone. He passed away in 2007. Vickie has been the pianist at her church, Bethany Baptist, for the past 35 years. She enjoys visits from her grandchildren, the YMCA, her yellow lab, Lucy and singing in her church choir.

Stephen A. Quarterman, a native of Savannah, Georgia, attended Armstrong State University and South University where he graduated Cum Laude with a degree in Physician Assistant Studies. He has been practicing Dermatology for 15 years, 10 of which have been with Anderson Skin and Cancer Clinic. He is a Fellow in the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants, the South Carolina Dermatological Association, South Carolina Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants and the American Academy of Physician Assistants. Mr. Quarterman and his wife, Becky have two sons, Luke and John, who are active in local school activities and athletics. They are active members of Concord Baptist Church and enjoy golfing, hunting and a variety of outdoor activities.
OWEN MURRY, JR., NP
Nurse Practitioner in Anderson and Seneca, SC
Owen J. Murry Jr., FNP,BC was born and raised in Savannah, Ga. He attended Armstrong Atlantic State University where he obtained Bachelor of Science degrees in both Health Science and Nursing. He worked as an emergency room nurse prior to completing his Master of Science degree in Nursing, Family Nurse Practitioner in 2001 at Georgia Southern University. He received his Dermatology training at the Georgia Skin and Cancer Clinic with Dr. Sidney Smith prior to moving to Anderson in 2005 to join the Anderson Skin and Cancer Clinic. Owen is board certified by the American Nurse Credentialing Center and is a member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners and the Upstate Nurse Practitioner Association. He currently serves as a preceptor for nurse practitioner students from Clemson University, as well as, medical students and resident physicians. Owen is married with two children and enjoys hunting, fishing and playing tennis
